Born in 1974 in Montreal, Canada, Andrew Pink is a graduate of the Dawson College Fine Arts Program. He majored in painting and drawing at Concordia University, where he began to view the visual arts as a means of exploring social issues, from globalization and environmentalism to popular culture and violence. Andrew’s interests subsequently became more precisely focused on what is sometimes referred to as ‘cultural spillover,’  where behaviours in seemingly unrelated domains appear to have influenced one another. By combining hockey imagery with WWII propaganda art, Andrew’s most recent work draws many parallels between aspects of professional sport and militarism. Andrew has exhibited across North America and is presently represented in several corporate and private collections.
